About Northern Devon foodbank
Holsworthy Foodbank
Local support for local people.
The food bank in Holsworthy was set up and organised by Christians Together in Holsworthy and District. It serves a large area covering Holsworthy and all the nearby parishes in northwest Devon. Formerly a satellite of Bude Foodbank we set up our own Foodbank and Drop-in Centre in 2016.
The foodbank is run by volunteers and open for two hours each Wednesday afternoon. Dedicated to restoring dignity and reviving hope for people in hard times. In normal times we welcome everyone to drop in for a chat and a cuppa but during Covid-19 restrictions we have had to suspend that.
Local support in Holsworthy is amazing and we have been blessed with very generous donations of food and finance. Thank you so much!
For some time we have been working with the Northern Devon Foodbank for our mutual support and have now merged our operations. The Northern Devon Foodbank is a locally organised and funded charity set up in 2012. Merging has given us the benefit of charitable status and a wealth of expertise and backup. We can use the warehouse in Bideford as an extension of our storage; to even out our excesses and shortages. The foodbank benefits from affiliation to the Trussell Trust national network.
